In September, OmniRaise had a great chance to do a social responsibility activity (CSR) in Thailand at a foundation for children who live in one of the lowest-income communities, Klong Toey. It was an amazing opportunity for us to be able to make children smile. Throughout 4 middays we organized enjoyable activities such as handmade stuff, musical chairs, dancing, back writing teamwork game, etc. In this event, we gave warm big hugs to children whose parents are addicted to drugs or have not got time for them. However, some children have not seen either their father or mother. It was so touching to our hearts that they ran to us for hugs and that really emphasized to us why “we” should share happiness with others. In this foundation, there are a variety of ages in children; infant- 5 years old. Some of our staff took toddlers for a shower and lather them up. When they cried, we tried to calm them down with a funny face. Others did activities with 3-5-year- old kids. We sang a lot of songs and danced together; these were pleasant penalties for any losers in each game. Many kids were so glad when we gave them something to do DIY items by themselves. Whether it was a small bag, a mask, a pencil, or a notebook. With various colors and cute rubber stamps in cartoon forms, they decorated nice, handcrafted things by their unlimited imagination. After the activities, we donated food to the children as well. For their lunch, it was a simple dish with nutrition; omelet, soup, and watermelon that we hope to fulfill their meals for tomorrow.
“Organizing this event made us realize in value of helping others
that we came to give but get more back to home”
