Let us meet Wei Ee, the Senior Executive of our Data Team.
Being shy and introverted, she never imagined being involved in a job that requires speaking with people. On her first day, she recounted that she was so nervous she dropped her presentation material. Wei Ee practiced pitching and presenting at night after work every day and she ended up losing her voice but her hard work paid off when she got her first donors the next day.
She had doubts about her own ability but with support and encouragement from Management she was given the opportunity as a member of the data team. On her first week, she made a mistake by sending a wrong email. Dave comforted her by letting her know that everyone makes mistakes and it is important to own up to them.
1 month into her role in the Data Team, she was offered a permanent role in the team which is a remarkable growth for someone with no experience and lacked confidence in her own ability.
Wei Ee is just a normal person with doubts like everyone else, but what makes her remarkable was the perseverance and courage she had in doing her best and facing all this head on.
